PWI Workshop:

From Bricks to Air
How I finally made my dream job more aerodynamic

Julie Anne Gilleland-Verbeelen has lived in Brussels for over 14 years and for that entire time she has pursued a dream of creating a business in Design for Education. She is a strong advocate for children voices in the process of designing and redefining education and especially learning and thinking at their level, which she says is higher than the level we set.
Eight years ago she started a for profit with her husband and after 7,5 years she found herself with a company and two non-profits and a building of 630 m2, running creative workshops, designing for large museums and providing recycled materials to the community. This sounds wonderful, but it was heavy. In order to finally realise her dream and reach her potential she had to shed all the bricks and embrace the wide open air, which is so much bigger than Brussels. As of July, she is the CEO of an EdTech start up, making waves in Education worldwide.

Come listen to her journey, which is not all ups and be inspired to make your own leap into the wider world and dream and live a little bigger.
