PWN GLOBAL
PWI Brussels is a member of PWN Global. As such, all PWI members are eligible to stand for election not just in Brussels, but also at Global level. The PWN Global Board is elected every 2 years: the next election is 2019-2021. Please see below for more details.
In addition, there are other Global volunteer opportunities which arise from time to time and which can be found here. Remember: if you are interested in a Global role, the best way is to show volunteer experience in your local city network first!
_____
The PWN Global Nominations Committee is delighted to invite you to submit your applications to be part of the PWN Global Federation Board. If you’re already volunteering in your local Board, or in another volunteer Board role outside of PWN, and you’re ready to take that step to a global role, we’d love to hear from you!
Why volunteer?
Volunteering is a great way for you to develop your own skills and learn many new ones, in a safe and supportive environment.
“Volunteering for PWN Global is rewarding in many different ways. We have shared two wonderful years in a co-Presidency and want to convey to you why we think everyone should jump at the opportunity to volunteer for a PWN Federation Board role (or any PWN city network volunteer role for that matter!).
Volunteering for the Federation Board is exciting and fulfilling. Why? Two reasons. Firstly, right now, PWN Global is in a really interesting phase, experiencing exponential growth in our geographical coverage, and with online members who do not have a city network ‘family’ close by. Our member platform is transforming the way we engage with members, and that raises questions around sustainability, governance and our ongoing platform improvement to create a solid member experience. Secondly, the professional growth that you achieve in a volunteer role is meaningful and will tangibly help you hone your skills in areas that will support you in your own career.
If you’re passionate about achieving Gender Balance; helping people to develop and achieve their potential; and your own personal development, then you should be applying for one of these roles!”
Sonya Richardson and Robert Baker
Co-Presidents, PWN Global

If you prefer for your video not to be public, please send it directly to nominations@pwnglobal.net.
The submission deadline for application is 05 April.

Getting your company on board
We encourage you to get your companies, organizations, clients, offices, and bosses on board with this opportunity for you to serve in a volunteer leadership role. Serving as a Board Member is not only a good opportunity for you but for them as well.
In exchange from your commitment as a PWN Volunteer, you get the opportunity to develop leadership skills, increase your personal visibility and that of your organization with potential clients and, on the topic of gender balance, garner external wisdom on best practices.
Importantly, volunteering demonstrates a commitment to gender balance as a business cause, not only by you but also by the organization that supports you in serving as a volunteer.
