Supply Chain Connect Event


PWI STEAM program, in partnership with Deloitte, proposes 4 events around subjects very much of actuality: Digital Transformation, Sustainability, Supply Chain and Innovation. 

Through the experience of a number of professionals with different backgrounds and career paths, these events will provide you with an overview of how a career in STEAM looks like, and how you can make your first steps towards it.  

SUPPLY CHAIN CONNECT EVENT is the first event from this series.

Here are the speakers of this event: 

  • Catherine Streib - Project Manager / Logistics Expert at KONE Corporation 

Catherine Streib is a Logistics Expert at KONE, a Finnish elevator and escalator company. She’s based in Brussels, but is originally from Chicago. She has a Masters degree in International Relations from the University of Kent at Canterbury and a B.A. in Education from the University of Iowa.

Catherine has over 20 years of experience in logistics, lean 6 Sigma, project management, and change management. Even though her background isn’t as an engineer, she appreciates working in STEAM alongside engineers, translating needs for the business. Her specialty is coaching and guiding others on how to bring lean into day-to-day work and explains logistics issues to different audiences.

Catherine is a mentor within her company for younger employees, a member of the Employee Resource Group for women, and is a certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and trainer for Lean.

  • Paula Moral Santiago - Supply Chain Director West Region Bridgestone EMIA 

Paula Moral showed an interest in Math and Science from an early age. She studied Industrial Engineering at Polytechnic University in Madrid, and completed her education at the Ecole Centrale in Paris and Cranfield University in the UK.

She has developed her career in the food and automotive manufacturing industries, having worked in Spain, Switzerland, Italy and Belgium. Passionate about the Supply Chain, in her 20 year career she has covered different roles in this area. She is eager to further explore challenges and opportunities in the Supply Chain of the future, as she firmly believes that it has an important role to play in Sustainability.

An advocate for diverse leadership and gender balance in Technical and Engineering careers, she is thrilled to lead the STEAM program in PWI.

  • Denise Gerets - Manager, Risk Advisory practice, Deloitte

Denise Gerets is manager in Deloitte’s Risk Advisory practice who combines her technical background and extensive business experience to delivers supply chain control projects.  

She joined Deloitte in January 2022, having worked in warehousing operations and project implementation. She graduated from the University of Hasselt in 2010 with a master’s degree in traffic science, focusing on economics and engineering.  

Denise started her career in 2011 as a young potential at a logistics company where she gained experience in different areas of warehousing and logistics. She held a variety of positions in the company, working for different customers in the pharmaceuticals and chemical industries. She then joined Deloitte and is now leading projects in the life sciences and healthcare industries, combining her expertise and interests. 

Her hobbies include skiing, hiking, travelling and most importantly spending time with her family and her two daughters, Louise and Pippa.
