NEW DATE for PWI STEAM program: Innovation Connect.

We want to bring to your attention an important update regarding Innovation Connect event, which was originally scheduled for October 17th. Due to terrorist attack, we have had to make the decision to reschedule the event to a new date: November 28th.

PWI STEAM program, in partnership with Deloitte, proposes an inspiring event that intertwines innovation, equity, and a sustainable future. Today, we unite to celebrate the unyielding spirit of women in STEAM, as they catalyze change towards a greener, more equitable world.

Innovation is the lifeblood of progress, as it enhances our understanding of the world, revolutionizes industries and improves the overall quality of life.

We are thrilled to invite you the next PWI STEAM event, dedicated to INNOVATION, featuring three esteemed panelists that have embraced innovation in different fields, from healthcare to technology. You will learn about the challenges the faced head-on, the risks they took in their inspiring careers, to bring novel ideas to life.

Get ready to be enlightened by an insightful evening into the world of innovation.

Meet our speakers:

Joyce Van den Broeck is Technical Product Manager at Materialise. She’s passionate about 3D printing for helping patients gain a better quality of life and surgeons improving their surgical experience and outcome. With a master’s degree in civil engineering - biomechnics, she joined Materialise starting off as a researcher working on a PhD targeting the optimization of patient-specific instruments, but growing into a product management role combining products gradually where today she’s actively involved in driving the orthopaedic strategy. Her personal focus is on making sure products progress smoothly from development to market access into operations.


Zeina Hage is a senior manager in Deloitte Belgium's Consulting practice, since 2022. Her mission is to guide clients through their digital transformation journey, crafting compelling value propositions and drawing upon her expertise in operational technologies. Before embarking on her journey with Deloitte, Zeina's experience was mostly gained in Dubai and the Gulf region. She started her professional career as a building management system engineer, then she took on the role of smart buildings and smart cities consultant, delivering projects across the globe, from Saudi Arabia to Qatar, United Arab Emirates, China, Spain, and Korea. Zeina's primary aim was to develop value-added services that not only increased revenue generation but also enriched the citizen experience and optimised city management. She also held a business development role, focusing on smart city operation center solutions and analytic cloud-based solutions for building operation and maintenance. In summary, Zeina has built up broad expertise in the domains of smart buildings and smart cities, utilising advanced technologies and IoT-based solutions to empower clients in realising their business objectives.

Ingrid Derue Barbier is Head of Innovation sciences and technologies delivery at GSK. she is a seasoned bioengineer with 25 years of industry expertise, consistently at the intersection of technology and biology to drive positive change. Her career has been marked by a people-focused approach, recognizing that innovation can only be realized through the full potential of individuals and the power of alliances. As a coach volunteer, she is guiding others to embrace uncertainties and see opportunities for the better in every situation. She is embodying the spirit of innovation in all your endeavors.
