“Book Your Time”

Welcome to Book Your Time, the PWI Book Club launched in 2023.

Book Your Time is a reading experience, a moment to pause and offer yourself some valuable time. It follows the curiosity to explore who you are and the world that surrounds you while going through the pages of a book.

Afterwards, you meet other women in a safe and inspiring atmosphere that motivates sharing of reflections. By listening and contributing to an enriching conversation we nurture our own and others’ growing. You will be uplifted with this source of energy !

How does Book Your Time work?

PWI proposes a book to read every 3 months, followed by a face-to-face event in which participants exchange their reflections triggered by the reading of the book.

When and where are the Book Your Time face-to-face events?

  • Book Your Time events take place in Restaurant “Le Mess”, located at Boulevard Louis Schmidt 1, 1040 Etterbeek on a Wednesday evening, approximatively between 18:30h and 21h/21:30h.
The venue is accessible with public transport (metro; tram; bus). There is also a possibility to park cars at the back of the building (entrance through Chaussee de Wavre) or in the smaller streets nearby.
  • Four events are scheduled per year, on a quarterly basis, i.e. January, April, July and October.
  • Each quarterly event happens on the second Wednesday of the corresponding month.

Where do I learn about the books selected for reading?

  • PWI will announce the book selected for reading via their website, email newsletter and social media.
  • Titles of selected books will be provided in English, with a short summary.

When do I know about the book title?

Books selected for reading are announced three months prior to each Book Your Time event.

Who do I need to contact to signal interest in participating to one of the Book Your Time events?

To participate to one of the events, you need to register via the PWI website at the latest one month before the event. This will help us with the organisation of the activity.

Do I need to prepare something prior to the Book Your Time event?

You do not need to prepare anything in advance beyond reading the book. You may want to take your own notes as guiding material to use during the face-to-face event.

What is my commitment if I register to one Book Your Time event?

If you decide to join one of the Book Your Time events you will first need to register. By doing so, you commit to reading the book and to come to the face-to-face event in Brussels. Additionally, you are asked to maintain a respectful and constructive attitude towards all participants to the event. It is important that you honour the commitment to ensure the event remains an enriching experience for everyone.

Is there a fee to join a PWI Book Your Time event?

PWI members can join one (or more) Book Your Time events free of charge.
Non-PWI members will be charged with 25 EUR per event.
