Becoming the best leader you can be is not about playing a role model. Rather, your leadership must be rooted in who you are and what matters most to you. As a good leader, you should strive to truly know yourself and what you stand for, be aware about your values and stay aligned to them. When you deeply know yourself, it is much easier to know what to do in any situation.

About Emanuelle Verhagen
Emmanuelle is a leadership coach and diversity & inclusion advisor. Her belief is that we, as human beings, are all capable of stepping into our leadership. Leadership comes in all forms and shapes and is unique to each individual. Therefore she designs and runs adult learning experiences in the form of workshops, retreats and coaching.
She is on a mission to change our traditional leadership’s perspective and turning our world into a place where diversity is celebrated and we all actively and consciously work towards seeing each other as human individuals rather than lumping others onto piles tainted with assumptions. There is only “us”. No one is “them”. She makes a stand for inclusive leadership at all levels. After all, we are all leaders, we all have the capacity to alter the status quo.
Next to her coaching & consulting she serves as a board member with AFS Intercultural Programs and Genres Pluriels. She is also founder & president of Intersekse Vlaanderen.
As to credentials, she holds an MBA from SDA Bocconi. Is a certified and accredited life & leadership coach (CPCC (CTI), ACC (ICF), Leadership Graduate (CTI)), and certified to work with DISC (Platinum Rule) as well as Barrett’s Cultural Transformation Tools (CTC from Barrett Value Center).
What will Emanuelle cover during the workshop?
Your values reflect what is important to you. They are a shorthand way of describing your motivations. Together with your beliefs, they are the causal factors that drive your decision-making. Successful leaders are in tune with their values and have clarity on what is within their range (and what not).
In this workshop we will be using Barrett’s Personal Values Assessment to help you think about what is important to you as a leader, what motivates the leader in you, and identify areas where you may want to develop further.
