Communicating at Work as an Expert and gaining Authority

PWI STEAM Programme

The PWI STEAM Programme offers support to STEAM women in their career progression within the sectors of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics.

We warmly invite you to our upcoming

workshop on how to communicate at work as an expert and gain authority on March 24, 2019 at the premises of EY in Brussels. This workshop is part of the soft skills training series of the PWI STEAM program.

Communicating at Work as an Expert and gaining Authority

You have taken on a new position, or you have been promoted or put in charge of projects, and you are now being asked to make big decisions.

You have sufficient knowledge and experience but if you sound like you lack confidence, or you are unsure of yourself it will be very difficult to gain the respect and trust of your colleagues and stakeholders. Which will then hold you back from excelling further in your career.

In the “Communicating at Work as an Expert and gaining Authority” you will learn how to position yourself as an expert and gain authority via daily communication in the office.

You will find out about three most common obstacles that prevent a lot of women from communicating their ideas and opinions in powerful and convincing way.

You will go away with a lot of practical tips and tools (in order to readily apply them by the end of the workshop!) which will help you to convey expert status, communicate confidently and own the room during your presentations and meetings.
