PWI Workshop - Dare to discover your own conflict behaviour style

This workshop is for those who answer “yes” to any of the following questions:

Do you experience conflict in your professional life?
Do you experience conflicts in your personal life?
Do you try to avoid conflict as much as you can?
Do you fear situations that are potentially conflictual?
Do you apprehend any context that is emotionally charged?

During this session we will look at the nature of conflict which we experience throughout our lives, its global societal impact, the dimensions of conflict and the strategies to address this kind of situations. This workshop will unveil the individual conflict profile that each of us displays in different situations and the ways we can improve our conflict handling skills.

Practical exercises will also be included in this session to help participants adapt their conflict handling approach according to various elements such as: nature of the situation, profile of the people, emotional charge, etc.

The workshop will be run by Georges Melides.

Georges’ corporate career started with IBM in marketing and management and the leadership of two strategic business units in software publishing in Europe and the U.S. More recently, he has spent the last 17 years helping European medical associations focus on their core mission by providing the outside expertise indispensable to their development in a variety of fields going from Marketing and Finance to Human Resources, Organizational Development and Strategic Planning.

One area that has particularly attracted his interest is that of conflict. Having experienced conflict throughout his personal and professional life, he decided to learn how to deal with conflictual situations in a constructive manner and to help people and organizations do the same. As a certified practitioner (MBTI® Myers-Briggs Type Indicator Instrument and TKI Thomas Kilmann Conflict Mode Instrument), his mission is to help people identify, understand and deal with their differences and equip them and their organizations with the tools to effectively deal with conflictual situations.
