Joint event PWI Brussels and EPWN Amsterdam to European Parliament- 22 March 2012

Come along and join the EPWN Amsterdam for a full afternoon. It is a great and unique opportunity to get to know and share experience with women from another city network.

Part 1: the European Institution Visits

European Parliament 12:00 - 13:30

Probably most of you did not take the time to go and visit the European Parliament yet.
This is the moment to go!
We will be visiting the European Parliament together with EPWN Amsterdam .

Corien Wortmann, who is Vice-President of the European People´s Party (EPP) and also a member of the Committee on Women’s rights and Gender equality invites EPWN Amsterdam for a roundtable discussion about equal treatment and we are welcome to join after the visit.

Lunch 13:30 14:15

A lunch will be organised at European Parlement at your own cost

European Commission 14:30 - 16:00

After .the lunch we will go to the European commission where Mrs Rosalinde van der Vlies deputy  head of unit equal treatment legislation will present the work done by the EC on gender equality from 14:30 to 15:30.

An early dinner will follow at la Table d'arthur. Separate  Registration

Parking in the area is rare so you better use public transportation:
Train
Station Brussels Luxembourg 200 metres from the European Parliament accessible from the 3 main stations: Brussels Midi, Brussels Central and Brussels Nord
Bus
Buses 27 and 38 run from the city centre to Place Luxembourg
Buses 12 and 21 run from Brussels International Airport to Place Luxembourg
Underground
Lines 1 and 5 to Maelbeek and Schuman (10 minute walk to the Parliament)
Lines 2 and 6 to Trône (7 minute walk to the Parliament)
