For the past 2 years, we have been able to experience the power of community at our networking events.
Our Networking Event is called 'Stories of Empowerment and Encouragement' and begins with a story of a PWI-member, a journey of professional and personal growth. In listening to how others have overcome challenges, tackled hurdles and become more empowered in the process, we can learn that we are never alone and that so many others before us have paved the way.
We take inspiration from the stories of resilience and strength, to create a supportive space where we can start to build connections with one another. We will end the evening with a networking session that will allow us to ask questions and get to know each other on a deeper level.
Our speaker for the May Networking Event is Martina Cilia, a lawyer by training and a communicator at heart, Martina currently serves as Communications Manager at CropLife International, where she leads campaigns that connect the dots between science, agriculture, and society. With over ten years of experience and a multidisciplinary background, Martina brings a unique ability to navigate the intersections of law, policy, and communication. Beyond her role at CropLife International, Martina is Co-Chair of Brussels New Generation (BNG), the young professionals’ network of the British Chamber of Commerce | EU & Belgium, where she fosters dialogue and supports emerging leaders within the Brussels professional community. In this capacity, she puts into practice her training in Human Resources Management and her belief in leading with purpose, overseeing a team of six Ambassadors and focusing on empowering others, fostering collaboration, and creating a community where young professionals can thrive. Martina is also deeply committed to inclusive and authentic communication, regularly engageing in conversations around identity, language, and representation
We are dedicated to creating an authentic atmosphere of inclusivity and connection. We want to create a space where everyone feels comfortable and inspired to share their stories and create meaningful conversations. We will provide a safe environment to connect, grow and be empowered by each other’s stories. We believe that by networking in an inspiring way, and by creating a supportive space, we can empower and encourage each other to reach our fullest potential.
